So a parcel arrived today, belated Xmas present thanks to postal services but who care. On New Years day I will get to photograph a Wedding with Mike Colon on the NEW! On Location With Mike Colón: Toronto.

What a great disk to have during the holidays and I know Uncelray you had a small hand in getting this over to me so thanks.

Nice Memories:
The most amazing thing about destination weddings is the surrounding locations you get to see when you are there, the people you meet and the moments captured.
As I travelled around in 2007 I started to record what I observed and today I put them together in a gallery slideshow.
Hope you enjoy them as snippets of what I have seen and felt this past year.

Hope to see you all in 2008.

End of Year Greetings:
Well another year is closing and this one has been one of the best ever photographically. I have met some amazing people on my journey, been helped by some of the best in the business and been inspired from some unusual places that would not always be a first port of call when creative juices are drying up.
Those that know me, know that this year I focused down on Wedding Photography. My passion for people and capturing or creating the moments that are reflected in one of the most memorable days of a person's life suddenly gave me a new energy to grab the camera and click.
I leave the year having met some amazing couples, many of who jumped at the idea of adding a lifestyle and fashion slant to their weddings, others had to be a little coached and came out sometimes as the ones who surprised themselves the most.
On the general subject of photography buddies and friends. This is in one way a highly complex and in another very simple statement. You cannot do without them, and the ones you have you should always respect and share as much as you can with. The new world currency is information and your pool of knowledge extends the more you share it.
I have too many thank you hugs to dish out this year but I wanted to document a few.
The family goes without saying.
This blog is about photography and my associates. I would like to say in no particular order and it is for the most part, however one gentleman sticks out as a guide, a friend and a sound board for me in recent times, Ray Santana or more affectionately UncleRay. Ray has been a mentor and I cannot help myself but thank his wife for letting us chat when ever I need inspiration or affirmation of direction and creativity. Ray thanks for helping me spend a huge amount of money this year and making me a better photographer with each dollar spent. I value our chats and our candid view of life.
Thanks also go out to Zimbo, Claudia Barth and Sophie Griffiths who have been there in the UK to drag me along for great photo shoots and help me out.
Thanks to Kevin Keelan and his lighting workshop, Kevin showed me a light technique with flash guns that gave me the confidence to seek out the light in the most complex of situations.
My Web Designer Luke who is my sanity check and one of my greatest critiques.
Alex Rodriguez, John Clements and Oz Kharawala for their support. Nikon Pro Group for helping me spend the money UncleRay did not manage to get his hands on.
Finally and by no means least a thanks to someone who started this whole thing off in my head a long while back, Mike Colon, a Nikon Legend behind the lens. I met all of the above people through this process and the journey this year would never have happened without the chance meeting.
Happy Christmas to you all and I hope to see you all in the New Year for another fantastic fun year where you can all teach me some new phrases again.
"get the shots T" , "have a slamming time", "have a blast", "use some sick equipment", "look to the goodtimes", "brew you need a Canon", "you take over, I've had enough"
HAPPY XMAS ALL X
Thank you to Nicky and Paul
Last Wedding of the year and boy what a great surprise. A beautiful Winter Wedding with all the orange warm colours that Britain can offer this time of year.  Always nice to meet a great couple who love to be photographed. The album will be stunning as it captures all the warmth of the mansion at Xmas, something to treasure for ever. I like winter Weddings and the Sun peeping out made it seem all the more rewarding.
Xmas decorations, fireplaces blazing, poping and cracking,

Finally the D3 does what it was built for.
For the techies amongst us, it was a chance to test the dynamics of the D3 and you have to agree that baby did well under extreme conditions.

Stay tuned I have a year end summary coming up with a few thanks to give.

And So Winter Came and the Light Disappeared, well almost:
I love my D3, there has been lots of talk about its usefulness above certain ISO's but here is why I love this camera like a small child.

2000 ISO 1/40 f2.8 tree lights
2500 ISO 1/80 f3.2 lamp only
6400 ISO 1/30 f2.8 lit by tree lights
Now that has change the game and I cannot wait to open a new world of light with this baby
We Know People Who Can Party
A Special thanks to my friend Sophie who recently invited me to shoot a great Xmas Ball and we had a blast.  Got some great shots of some both cool and famous people which I keep back but the place was elaborate and just beautiful including a stage built across the pool, great singers and at the end of the evening
we got a chance to relax in the cool chair. Thanks Soph, see you at Xmas and have a great NEW YEAR Bash. T the Brit.

So today I relaunched the web site to focus on images that represent art, love and destinations Weddings, reorganising the Gallery element and connecting the blog. Sounds a little dull and nerdy but as a shop window I think it is working. The brides that contact me now seem to resonate with the images more and that is really nice.
Have a look and tell me what you think via email or blog comments.

Its Great to be a Nikon Professional Member:
Well today I got a call from Nikon, they said where do you want your D3 sent to  ?
UncleRay and UncleMike made me see the light and as a Nikon pro with a vision to becoming a Nikon Legend Behind the Lens I just felt it rude not to collect one of the first cameras into this country.

I cannot wait to get this sweet camera and from some of the Wedding images I have seen already will make it a pleasure to hit the high dynamic ranged, hideous light situations and sail through. Xmas come early!

I NEED TO GO SEE Unlcemike.
I cannot get enough of these cool US photographers. Just back from hanging with Ray Santana ( the finest gent Miami can offer up) and I saw Mike Colon's latest workshop advertised down in the OC of California. It's booking fast but as an experience and having a chance to spend quality time with one of America's most contemporary photographers I could not recommend it more.
Extra cash left over for the new year, I would recommend a European posse get over to CA and take this workshop. Mike is a great visionary and unusually for this industry is happy to give up the secret sauces and share his journey to success with a lot of guidance and ideas.
I am so close to booking, one more call from UncleRay and I will not be able to stand their Jedi powers any longer. Right i'm off the phone is ringing. !!!
I am working on a little HD video from Miami shot by Ray which will give a little tour of South Beach and a few excerpts from the Twins Wedding we shot. Stay tuned and in the meantime get over to Mike's blog.
